Does chewing gum have plastic in it yes or no???

Does chewing gum have plastic in it yes or no??? Yes Indeed chewing gum is made out of plastic. Ick that’s disgusting. The main ingredient is polyvinyl acetate (by the way polyvinyl acetate is plastic) it's also in some glue and plastic bags. P lastic is the ingredient that makes chewing gum chewy. You'll see that it's listed in all ingredient listings. So I hope you agree with me that chewing gum is disgusting and won't be eating chewing gum anytime soon well I won’t be. Here's a solution I've got a couple eco-friendly chewing gum companies  Gleegum T ruegum Chewsy gum   Find the top 6 best brands on Treehugger Hope this helps. By Darci

LUNCH BOXS

LUNCH BOXES πŸ˜•πŸ˜†πŸ’— Hello, i'm Darci and I'm going to tell/Persuade you  about a terrible πŸ˜’ problem. People are using so much plastic in their lunch boxes. My class Is doing writing and my teacher put up an argument all lunch boxes should be waste free and ask us are you for or against. I was against it because everything has plastic. Even if you don't think it does, most still have started with plastic. I mean if you have a sandwich and you don't have plastic around it  doesn't mean it's never been in plastic, like most bread has plastic bags to keep it fresh. I'm not saying your lunchbox should be all plastic, I'm saying less plastic. Have you ever had alittle chippie bag? there are three sad reasons why people shouldn't buy little chippie bags You do not have many chips in the bag. Every time you throw in the rubbish and that makes more rubbish in the landfill It could kill animals because the plastic can choke Turtles and fish and it could get...

How bad is glitter (and how to make it)

Image
I’ve been doing lots of research on glitter and how it’s bad but it’s not necessarily bad if you are responsible with it and reuse the bits that fall off. But I would mostly stay away from it there's also alternatives like crushed glass, microbeads and loads more Eco friendly types  (I would do research first). You can even make your own which is what i'm going to show you. But first i'm going to tell you about the bad stuff.  Glitter doesn't break down straight away and it will take years and years and maybe even hundreds of years to break down. Also glitter is classified as microplastics because it’s smaller than 5 mm (0.5 cm). Because of the size of the microplastics it’s easy for sea life to consume the microplastics. When fish or sea life eat microplastics it will go to the gut then move to the muscular tissue and whatever eats that will consume the microplastics. You don't want to consume those do you?   How to make edible glitter Ingredients  White Sugar ...

Plastic toothbrush to bamboo toothbrush

Image
Do you know how bad your plastic toothbrushes are for the environment? Well It’s bad you use around 4-5 toothbrushes a year (every 2-3 months) that is around 287,640 kgs a year in the landfill. You use around 300 toothbrushes in your lifetime and if you times that by 60g (15x4=60) it equals 18000 kgs each in your lifetime. That's a lot. Bamboo is a good alternative. There are heaps of companies that make bamboo toothbrushes. There is a really good company that my family uses called Toothcrush and they use bamboo and you can compost them (but you need to take the bristle out with pliers or snap it off). They have recyclable and compostable packaging. But they are quite expensive but worth it for the environment.  You can do so much with toothbrushes like flicking the paint off it on paper or for your art project which looks really cool. You can search lots of ideas on google or your search engine. So check it out now. by Ruby
